Welcome to the wonderful world of journaling and its unlimited benefits!
My name is I.I. Brag for those of you who haven’t met me or read my articles, I am pleased to have this opportunity to share with you some of the unlimited benefits that you might experience as a result of journaling.
Now, I bet you’re wondering what I mean when I say unlimited benefits. Right? Of course, I knew that!
First of all, let me just say, that for me, journal writing is like a cheese sandwich – both important elements in my life with significant benefits. It’s true. As an example, I have written about some of my experiences prior to this prestigious job as a Contributing Editor for The 50 Plus Report. It’s a special feeling to know that my writing today will refresh my memory in the future of night ventures with my old friends from the rat pack. That’s a wonderful benefit of journaling. Likewise, finding and enjoying that cheese sandwich today will make tomorrow a better day for me – and that is a marvelous benefit!
There is always a benefit from journaling! Just taking a quiet moment to pen events of the day clarifies our thoughts… so important for our mental well‐being.
Journaling provides a private place to freely express your deep feelings without reservation or hesitation, and later analyze those thoughts for greater insight as to what exactly you were feeling and why.
Today, so many of us are on “overload” – so much to do. I know myself, seems like I’m always running from or chasing after somebody, posting on Facebook, Tweeting my fans, going to doctor appointments, etc. Whew, no time to think… no time to share our stories… no time to get a grip! Though journaling, we are able to get in touch with ourselves; de‐clutter our minds for better thinking and perspective on life or issues of the day.
For many people, their mental, emotional and financial success is a result of their journaling. For example:
- writing about a problem can inspire a solution.
- venting emotions of anger or hostility are safely released on the pages of your journal.
- developing and keeping track of a business plan will help you achieve your goal
- chronicling your way to ‘smaller size apparel’ is great incentive for success, and
- penning memorable moments for keepsake purposes is a true “feel good” experience.
I hope I have inspired you to begin journaling. I’m about to go do some writing now.
